On Sunday we celebrated all the March birthdays in my husband's family - his grandmother, his sister, and of course, his own. My sister-in-law hosted the festivities at her house. Grandma has gotten very ill, so underneath all the cheerfulness, there was a somber undertone to the day.

We ate (steak and crab legs for pescetarians), exchanged presents (and some very touching cards), and had cake and ice cream.
